The Story of Imaginal Cells (And How You Might Be One)

butterfly imaginal cells

Imagine…

That was John Lennon’s powerful message to humanity. He envisioned a better future and encouraged us to step into it.

Imagination is the basis for the creation of novelty; new ideas, new concepts, new everything. It’s that important and that potent.

Now here’s where things get really interesting. In biology, there is a term called Imaginal Cells. And they got that name for a reason.

We all learned that caterpillars go through a metamorphosis and become butterflies. But few of us know the details of how this process actually takes place. How it happens is absolutely amazing.

Imaginal Cells: From Caterpillar To Butterfly

After a period of ravenous consumption, the caterpillar finds a perch and forms a chrysalis. The end result, we know, is a butterfly. But the mindblowing thing here is that there is no structural similarity at all between a caterpillar and a butterfly.

Inside of the chrysalis, the caterpillar actually dissolves into organic ooze. Cells, which are aptly called “Imaginal Cells,” begin to emerge. This is what starts the process of creating a new form and structure.

At first the Imaginal Cells – the seeds of future potential, which contain the blueprint of a flying creature—operate independently as single-cell organisms. They are viewed as threats and are attacked by the caterpillar’s immune system. But they persist, multiply, and form connections with each other. The Imaginal Cells communicate more, creating larger and larger cooperative networks until they eventually hit a tipping point. And a butterfly is born!

A Microcosm of Humanity

Now let’s relate the Imaginal Cell phenomenon to humanity.

Think about the general state of a caterpillar before it becomes a butterfly: mindless consumption. Sounds familiar, right? Go to any city, any store or just turn on the tv, and the level of mindless consumption is hard to miss. Humanity has been that way for a while, but the paradigm is shifting.

Then, when the new Imaginal Cells start popping up, they get attacked by the other cells. Look at what happened to all of the prophets, geniuses and visionaries (Jesus, Leonardo Da Vinci, Gandhi, Nikola Tesla, Martin Luther King Jr, John Lennon…etc.). They get attacked and demonized by those who are still trapped in caterpillar mode. Those who I just named were some of the first Imaginal Cells, the harbingers of a new level of consciousness.

What if we (humans) weren’t just individuals, but cells of a superorganism?

Now remember that more and more Imaginal Cells start to pop up. Then they begin to connect, work together and create the new being.

Our outdated version of humanity is the caterpillar, mindlessly consuming everything in sight.

But now we’re seeing more and more of these Imaginal Cell-like people emerge, shedding away our collective chrysalis. And if you’re reading this, you’re one of them.

There’s a worldwide awakening going on. We’re coming together and cooperating to bring about a new humanity.

Cheers to becoming a butterfly.

Selfie Sticks and Knickknacks (A Unique Take on Tourism)

Tourism is an interesting phenomenon.

On the surface, it seems pretentious and annoying – flocks of foreigners, swooping in on new (to them) lands, taking more pictures than they’ll be able to look at in five lifetimes and throwing their money at local knickknacks that don’t really serve any purpose; all while looking laughably out of place.

But tourism as we see it today is a symptom of transition. People are starting to become interested in different places, different cultures and different ideas. And that’s a beautiful thing. It’s just that most folks haven’t yet honed their inner guidance system enough to proficiently pilot their newfound curiosity through this hybridized world of natural wonder infused with exponentially increasing technology.

The old paradigm, which never served humanity or our planet in the first place, is fading away before our very eyes. We’re moving away from the days of people comfortably sitting in their “identity boxes” (nationality, sex, race, religion…etc.), ignorantly fearful of those within other “identity boxes.” Two world travelers, even from the most different places imaginable, will never go to war against one another. Why? They’ve seen and experienced enough to realize that, at the end of the day, we’re all humans, co-inhabiting this big floating rock. Ignorance is the prerequisite for division-based violence. And in today’s transparent, global society, the dark shadows of ignorance are quickly being illuminated out of existence.

We (the people, not the lawmakers) are also harmonizing many areas of the world toward a more peaceful vibration. This is the flip-side of the utter monstrosity that was colonial imperialism/vampirism. Tourism can be corny, annoying and even mildly exploitative at times, but it’s a step in the right direction. The underlying intentions of tourism (curiosity, wonder and adventure of everyday people) are a far cry from the intent of organized oppression and thievery of entire continents by those in power.

We’re waking up to the fact that we’re all humans, sharing this planet. A reinvigorated, healthy respect for one another, as well as Pachamama (Mother Earth), is sweeping through our collective consciousness. Today’s tourism, tinged with selfie sticks and knickknacks, is just a silly bridge between the old and the new.

One love.

Are You Truly Free?

woman-570883_640

Are you truly free?

Really think about it. Contemplate what your idea of complete freedom is.

To give yourself a better idea, ask yourself the following three questions…

Would I be living the way I’m living if money were no object?
Would I be living the way I’m living if I was uninfluenced by the opinions of others?
Would I be living the way I’m living if I had no fears?

Chances are, if you’re playing the role of a human on planet Earth, you answered “no” to all three.

So this means that in almost every sense, we’re actually quite far from true freedom. Considering that you’re reading this, you’re probably not in physical slavery, so that’s a good start. But what about your mind? What about your behaviors? What about your beliefs? What about your lifestyle? Are they really your own? For the vast majority of people, (yes, even “privileged” “first-worlders”) all of those aspects of their life and sense of self are in bondage. And most don’t even realize it.

“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

The more cruel and extreme the slavery, the shorter lived it tends to be. Physical slavery has a finite lifespan because people are all-too-aware of their oppression. If people are blatantly repressed, their uprisal is inevitable. The human will is driven by a deep-seated yearning for liberation. If that willpower hasn’t been buried by deception, trauma and conditioning, there is absolutely nothing that can stand in its way. The many heroes who courageously rose up against (physical) slavery in America are a testament to this.

Mental slavery, however, is more subtle; more insidious. Why? Because in this predicament, people are conditioned to love their servitude, without even grasping the subliminal subterfuge of their subjugation.

“A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude.” – Aldous Huxley

Psychological slavery can go on indefinitely, until it’s exposed. And that makes it uniquely dangerous.

“Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.” – Morpheus (The Matrix)

We’re like dogs with shock collars. Distinctly better off than dogs in cages. But there is an invisible fence which contains us, shocking us into submission when we reach a certain perimeter. Our invisible fence consists of fear, comfort zones, money, time, the opinions of others, limiting belief systems…etc. In terms of the physical and mental aspects of life, we’re more like free-range than truly free.

The average “first-world” nation can be likened to a 300-pound man in a room filled with 500-pound people. Sure, he’s better off than the rest, but he’s still far from being healthy. But because his only reference points are those more obese than he is, he may hold the delusional belief that he’s an exemplar of fitness.

It’s both naïve and short-sighted to think that we’re truly free under this current paradigm. What is your ideal world? Does it look anything like the one you’re living in? This is not to say that we should hide in the asylum of ungrateful entitlement. We need to be grateful for the freedoms we do enjoy, but never complacent in our quest for true liberation.

Just as Harriet Tubman did, we must use our freedoms to help others achieve theirs, moving the collective towards total, mind/body/spirit, emancipation.

The Freedom Paradox

Here’s the good news…

On a deep, intrinsic level, we are always free, no matter the circumstance. Even when someone is physically shackled, at their very core they are still free.

As humans, if we do not find liberation physically, we find it mentally. If we do not find liberation mentally, we find it spiritually. This inherent freedom cannot be taken away.

“When I discover who I am, I’ll be free.” – Ralph Ellison

We are all unique expressions of infinite possibility. Our inner-most nature is beyond any confines. And absolutely nothing can take that away from us, even if we are physically or mentally enslaved. People such as Victor E. Frankl, who survived the Holocaust, are shining examples of this…

“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms — to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” – Victor E. Frankl

“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” – Victor E. Frankl

True freedom is beyond the ego. Beyond fear, beyond judgment and beyond the opinions of others. It is what we are left with when we reacquaint with our deepest essence.

“Look well into thyself; there is a source of strength which will always spring up if thou wilt always look.” – Marcus Aurelius

Though there are control systems intent on programming us to exhibit predictable, robotic responses… Though many get manipulated by the divide and conquer agenda….. Though injustice still rears its ugly head… Though the world may seem completely insane at times… Remember, you have the choice in every situation. And nothing can take that away from you.

As Ralph Smart says, We came here to be free.”

One love.

PS – Solution celebration…

Here are 8 solutions to the subtly insidious “modern slavery” you may, unknowingly or knowingly, find yourself in:

1. Think for yourself Free your mind. Explore any and every idea. The world is an idea playground. What is holding you back from exploring the realms of infinite ideas? You have a world of information at your fingertips, don’t take it for granted. We live in the information age. Ignorance is a choice.

2. Work for yourself Though it’s an uphill battle in this society, we all have the opportunity to work for ourselves. This will provide you with immensely more physical freedom than if you have to trade your time for money with an employer.

3. Awareness – Be aware that you’re not your thoughts, but the consciousness observing the thoughts. Be aware of when you exhibit predictable, programmed responses. Be aware of your emotions, thoughts, habits…etc. Awareness is the key which opens the door to freedom.

4. Don’t identify with a label – Putting yourself in a box is the antithesis of freedom. Osho summed it up eloquently… “Never belong to a crowd; Never belong to a nation; Never belong to a religion; Never belong to a race. Belong to the whole existence. Why limit yourself to small things? When the whole is available.”

5. Be your authentic self

6. Let go of fear – Fear, and everything dependent upon it, is bondage. This includes ego, comfort zones, worry, anxiety, regret, shame, guilt, hate, anger, jealousy, insecurity, disempowerment, victimhood…etc. Those all either create, or lead to, some form of enslavement. As John Lennon said, “Love is free, free is love.” Choose love.

7. Pursue your life’s purpose

8. Take responsibility for your own well-being – Response-ability… The ability to respond. Empower yourself. Take responsibility for your life, your health, and whatever else you deem important.

Earth Is Our Holy Land

earth-11008_640

It’s become painfully obvious…

We’ve been getting played out for a long, long time; manipulated into the illusion of separation. We’re deviating from our essence of love, succumbing to fear, allowing ourselves to get dragged into senseless conflict and destroying our beautiful planet.

“Just look at us. Everything is backwards, everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, psychiatrists destroy minds, scientists destroy truth, major media destroys information, religions destroy spirituality and governments destroy freedom.” -Michael Ellner

We all know, deep down, that it doesn’t have to be this way. Humanity is capable of so much more, and (thankfully) we’re seeing clearer glimpses of our potential every day.

We’re all unique, physical manifestations of infinite love, and the time has come to shine our light on Planet Earth.

Let Love Be the Guiding Force

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.” -John Lennon

Love is our essence. Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real… An illusion.

“I have been saying and writing for so many years that one sentence can encapsulate the totality of life, of existence, of being: Infinite Love is the Only Truth – Everything Else is Illusion.” -David Icke

Love is the answer to most, if not all, questions in life. Choose love, let go of fear and judgment; that’s when we unleash our dormant magnificence.

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between 2 “wolves” inside us all. One is Evil (fear). It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good (Love). It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Rigid Belief Systems = Easy Manipulation

“We have to stop thinking in black and white and soften our rigid belief systems. This world is not black and white. Nothing is. If you have a rigid belief system that is not open to the endless subtleties of life, you become a manipulator’s party trick.” -David Icke

Rigid belief systems are based in fear (“believe what I say or suffer the consequences”), and being in fear makes us easily manipulated and controlled. When we operate in love (or as love), it is the ultimate freedom.

“Never belong to a crowd; Never belong to a nation; Never belong to a religion; Never belong to a race. Belong to the whole existence. Why limit yourself to small things? When the whole is available.” -Osho

Falling into other peoples’ molds is taking life for granted. When we embrace the fact that we’re all brilliantly unique expressions of infinity, the collective reality we experience has no choice but to change for the better.

See Through the Illusion (Or Get Played)

The world we’re living in is a grand illusion. We’re constantly fed is a massive deception.

Every major system that is in place is built on fear-based conditioning. The education (indoctrination) system, organized religion, healthcare (sick care), the media…etc.

Just turn on the news; it’s all fear mongering and propaganda, designed to paralyze our consciousness. When was the last time watching the news made you feel good? And anyone with half a brain sees through the utter nonsense perpetuated.

We get brainwashed into belief systems and manipulated into conflict. Divide and conquer works like a charm when we’re programmed with fear and see others as “different” merely because of asinine labels we put on everything. Jews, Muslims, Christians, Americans, New Yorkers, Whites, Blacks, Republicans, Democrats…etc. Attaching our identity to these labels is what sets us up to be easily divided and conquered. It’s this rigid categorization that positions us as pawns for malevolent agendas.

So many get manipulated into anger and violence through fear-based conditioning and viewing fellow humans as something different from themselves. When we drop the labels and see everyone as another aspect of ourselves, we simply won’t be coerced into harming anyone.

The pathetic “elite” love war, violence, death, destruction and anything based in fear. War is immensely profitable for them. War creates more control. War is a massive fear generator, and they literally live off of our fear. (See David Icke’s books for a ridiculous amount of information and evidence on this stuff.)

Here’s an interesting excerpt from “The Active Side of Infinity” by Carlos Castaneda (quoting his supposed mentor Dan Juan Mathus):

We have a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over our lives. Human Beings are its prisoners. The predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we want to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don’t do so. Indeed, we are held prisoner. They took us over, because we are food to them, and they squeeze us mercilessly because we are their sustenance. Just as we rear chickens in coops, they rear us in human coops. Therefore, their food is always available to them. Think for a moment and tell me how you would explain the contradictions between the intelligence of man, the engineer and the stupidity of his belief systems, or the stupidity of his contradictory behavior. Sorcerers believe that the Predators have given us our systems of belief, our ideas of good and evil, our social morals. They are the ones who set up our beliefs of success or failure. They have given us covetedness, greed, and cowardice. It is the Predator who makes us complacent, routinary and egomanical. In order to keep us obedient and weak, the Predators engage themselves in a stupendous maneuver. Stupendous of course from the point of view of a fighting strategist. A horrendous maneuver from the point of view from those who suffer it. They gave us their mind. The predator’s mind is baroque, contradictory, morose, and filled with the fear of being discovered any minute now.

Don’t feed the parasite with fear. We must choose love in order to free ourselves.

And here’s an incredibly potent song by Black Sabbath:

“Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death’s construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds… Oh Lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait ’till their Judgment day comes, yeah!”

Non-Compliance

The way to bring about change is to not participate in the insanity. The madness simply cannot exist if we don’t take part in it. It’s as simple as that. Toxic fast food won’t be manufactured if people don’t eat it. Health-wrecking pharmaceutical drugs won’t be produced when people stop buying them. War will not exist when people refuse to kill each other.

“The pioneers of a warless world are the youth who refuse military service.” -Albert Einstein

“Non-violence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man.” -Gandhi

We’re holding up the house of cards out of fear; it’s about time we walk away and build something better.

It is only through releasing the old that we can bring about the new.

We must stop compromising our morals for money and ego. We must stop sacrificing our essence out of fear. It’s time we step into our power, and as Gandhi so eloquently said, “be the change we wish to see in the world.”

We’re far more powerful than we’ve been conditioned to think…

A New Day is Rising

“I’m American born, love America, love my people, love all mankind, all nationalities you know. I think it’s just recently where everybody just started to feel like there was an elite group that runs everything, and everybody else was sheep, ignorant, making all ethnicities, colors and creeds, niggers, blind to what really is going on. So I say take off the wool from your eyes. Out with the old America in with the new. End all racism, all injustice, all oppression to poor people, any people anywhere in this planet. Let’s come together: a new day is rising.” -Nas

More and more people are waking up to the true nature of everything. Many are now seeing through the illusion, choosing love over fear and helping to bring about change to our planet.

New and improved solutions, that are actually beneficial to humanity, are being developed in all aspects of life (energy sources, education, nutrition, economic systems…etc). We’re seeing glimpses of greatness amidst the chaos of the world. Change is happening fast. Change is happening now.

“Just before you break the sound barrier, the cockpit shakes the most.” -Chuck Yeager

Oh, it’s shaking alright. And we’re about to break out of the matrix we’ve been held in for so long.

Wake up, sleeping giants. Step into your inherent power.

When we choose love, it will collectively manifest in all forms, and in every aspect of life.

Get ready for a new paradigm.

Infinite Love.
