Let me clear the air.

#1: Gratitude is not corny. Well, unless you want it to be.

#2: Gratitude is not wishful thinking or naive positivity. It’s more practical (and powerful) than most people think, especially when you’re facing challenges.

I recently discovered this firsthand.

How? I decided to share gratitude on social media for 30 days straight.

Basically, I made a post each day talking about something I’m grateful for.

I always knew gratitude was important. But actually devoting myself to gratitude for a month made me realize how powerful it really is.

What Is Gratitude?

Gratitude is the appreciation of what is valuable and meaningful to oneself and is a necessary attitude to have in life.

It’s an appreciation of life and all that we have, even in the midst of struggles and hard times.

Gratitude helps us shift our focus to the positive aspects of life and cultivate feelings of joy and contentment.

With that said, let’s talk about what I learned from sharing gratitude for 30 days.

7 Lessons From My Gratitude Practice

1: Gratitude is the ultimate state shifter.

Gratitude raises your vibration within seconds.

When you take the time to earnestly find something to be grateful for, even the simplest thing, it can instantly up-level your state of being.

It can take you from feeling low or frustrated to feeling hopeful and inspired. The power of gratitude to shift your perspective is mind-blowing (literally).

2: Gratitude isn’t what we think it is.

Genuine gratitude isn’t just about being happy about receiving something. It’s more of an emergent state that happens when you’re present and seeing the beauty of existence.

Gratitude is a feeling of being connected to All-That-Is and recognizing that the true nature of the universe is abundance.

3: Gratitude alchemizes problems into learning experiences.

When you practice gratitude, it helps you reframe the situations you encounter and learn from them instead of dwelling in more negative emotions.

Gratitude helps you see the silver lining in any situation and allows you to move forward with a more positive attitude.

Everything is a learning experience. And gratitude makes this crystal clear.

4: Gratitude is just as valuable to the people who see other people being grateful.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how many messages I got from people saying how seeing me share gratitude helped them feel more grateful.

When you share your own gratitude, it can inspire others to find things to be grateful for as well.

5: Gratitude is directly linked with confidence.

Practicing gratitude helps to dissolve self-doubt and build confidence.

The more you practice it, the more any doubts and fears fade away. This was perhaps the most surprising, and profound, benefits of a gratitude practice for me.

Gratitude creates a genuine, soul-level confidence like nothing else.

6: Gratitude makes you magnetic.

The more you practice gratitude, the more magnetic you become to abundance in all forms.

Gratitude helps to attract more beneficial people and experiences. It also opens you up to new opportunities.

7: Gratitude creates more gratitude.

The more I practiced gratitude, the more of a positive feedback loop it turned into.

It’s almost like a snowball effect, where the more gratitude you express, the more you start to find things to be grateful for.

There’s a momentum that comes with gratitude which makes it even better.

You + Gratitude?

Gratitude is a powerful tool that can help you to shift your perspective, dissolve self-doubt, and become more magnetic to abundance.

It’s a life-changing practice that can help you transmute challenges and learn from every experience.

And when you share your gratitude with others, it can have a ripple effect and help others to find things to be grateful for as well.

I recommend everyone do a 30 day gratitude practice at least once it their life.

It changes everything.

Much love,
Stephen Parato
