Here’s a metaphor for innerstanding aspects of Self…
? The ego is equivalent to a shadow (a dualistic byproduct of individuated creation).
? The soul is equivalent to a body (an individuated manifestation of light/creation).
? The Universal Creative Force is equivalent to light (especially sunlight and stars themselves).
? Source/Great Spirit/Infinite Possibility is equivalent to Space/The Vacuum.
We’ve been conditioned to believe our whole identity is the ego, an illusory shadow.
Yet the ego is just that, a shadow. It cannot exist on its own. Let alone move on its own. And it also cannot be removed, for it’s a natural byproduct of light’s interaction with any object (every-thing has a shadow).
To try to act through the shadow/ego is madness. Again, shadows cannot exist or move on their own. Yet this is what most do; resist and complain as our soul dances, while trying to get the shadow to move separately from the body. Insanity!
All of our individual action and movement happens through the body/soul. And the soul is an individuated manifestation of light/creation, the Source of which is Spirit itself (Source, Infinite Possibility, All That Is).
Allow the light of creation to fully flow through, enlivening the soul. And dance through your soul, all the while smiling at the ego/shadow as it dances along in sync.
We are the dancer, the dancer’s shadow, the dance, the music and the inspiration behind the dance.
PS – As you experience this reality, allow your unique point of consciousness to be your soul. Acquaint with this through meditation, journaling, being in nature… just BEING. And also know that your soul is not the source of life either. The soul is merely a unique aspect of divine light, all of which flows out of Source. In Pure Beingness, you merge with Source/All That Is. And their is no unique expression, no shadow, only Oneness.
