I just had a funny moment…

“Did I just manifest Facebook’s huge platform change?”

Maybe…

Over the last few months, Facebook has not been resonating with me.

It became a world of distraction. I noticed myself getting distracted every time I checked Facebook, so I let go.

Then there’s the intense censorship by Facebook, plus the sketchy data collection. But those are rabbit holes that we don’t need to go down.

I barely posted or paid attention to Facebook over the last few months.

But I did put out some intentions to the Universe, without realizing it.

I visualized being a part of social media platforms that facilitated a better experience for everyone…

More connection and inspiration. And less noise, ads and distractions.

That was my focus for the last couple months.

And guess what?

Facebook just rolled out some major changes on the platform…

Facebook groups are now the focus of Facebook.

This means that Facebook is prioritizing people’s experience on the platform.

Energy flows where attention goes, right?

This group-focused layout seems more people-oriented, instead of playing the deceptive game of ad attention.

Advertising is Facebook’s main source of revenue, so we’ll see how the ad experience is with these new changes. My feeling is that it won’t be as annoying.

Facebook’s focus on groups means two things are now at the forefront…

  • Community
  • Connection

Community

Community is obviously a big foundation of who we are as humans.

By prioritizing groups, Facebook is aligning us with our tribe.

Groups are an amazing way to build community. I’m in several Facebook Groups that have evolved into true digital tribes.

I even started one, called Conscious Creative Tribe (click that link to join).

These online communities allow for people to gather around a central idea, ask questions, interact and support each other.

If done right, it can be a beautiful thing.

Connection

Building community naturally leads to connection.

When people regularly interact in a group, especially around a central idea, it creates a connection.

I’ve seen this with spiritual groups, entrepreneurial groups, blogger groups and everything in between.

People cultivate deep connections, to the point where they even meet up in physical reality.

I know what you’re thinking…

“Wow, meeting up in the physical? That’s huge!”

That’s most people’s reactions.

If we can connect online, and create more genuine physical interactions, we can do amazing things together.

Conscious Creative Tribe

I mentioned the group I created, Conscious Creative Tribe.

Here’s how I describe it…

The Conscious Creative Tribe is a space to share anything you’re creating (art, businesses, services…etc).

Feel free to share your ideas and creations, ask questions, seek advice or collaboration and support each other in the creative process.

I invite you to join the tribe. You can do it here: Conscious Creative Tribe

I’ll see you in there.

Much Love.
